Willys America 7/6/02

The second annual Willys Caravan to the Willys America Open House took place on 7/6/02. The weather was perfect and the Willys were plentiful. Jim Russell did another fantastic job of organizing the caravan this year. This year, most of the caravan participants used hand held radios to keep in contact. The radios were great for keeping the group informed when parts of the caravan got separated at stoplights. The caravan made three stops along the route to pick up other members. I joined the caravan, along with several other participants, at the official Willys Caravan rest stop (Mc Donalds in Petaluma, CA).

The first group of pics you see below were taken in Petaluma just before we hit the road.

The next few pics were taken by my co-pilot (my wife) as we cruised along the highway to Willys America. It was really fun to see the reaction of passerbys as 11 Willys cruised along the highway.

This big group of pics was taken at Willys America. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Of course, all good things must come to an end. These last two pics were taken on the drive home.
